Keep Calm and Carry Data:
Understanding and Using Data Collection Methods to Drive Decisions About Behavior Change
Share
Data is our strongest indicator of student progress (or regression) and our vehicle that drives decision-making and change. Participants will break through the "data is hard" mindset and identify various ways to collect efficient and effective baseline and intervention data. Compare and contrast different data measurements (frequency, latency, duration, and ABC data) to determine which measurement aligns with IEP goals and classroom behaviors. Leave with a better understanding of the data cycle and how this supports progress monitoring, changes in instruction, and IEP compliance. If data is a four-letter word to you, just think C-A-L-M.
