FEE WAIVED FOR PARENTS

BOOK DESCRIPTION:  This book study will help participants understand the five steps for self-regulation. Author:  Dr. Becky A. Bailey, Ph.D., award-winning author, renowned teacher, and internationally recognized expert in childhood education and developmental psychology, as well as the creator of Conscience Discipline.  Dr. Bailey tells us that "self-regulation is the ability to manage emotional upset and behavior."

The way adults handle emotional upset when children are throwing fits, back-talking, name-calling, being defiant and withdrawing will either foster or inhibit their ability to develop self-regulation. Participants learn how to apply the five steps for self-regulation in their own life, as well as how to coach children in learning the five-step process of self-regulation.
