Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, Second Edition (ADOS-2) Clinical Workshop

During this two-day clinical training, the ADOS-2 will be presented. In addition to seminar, brief examples from video, and time for discussion, Dr. Hundley will show two full ADOS videos to be scored and discussed by the attendees. These will feature two children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) at differing levels of language. Day one will focus on Modules 3-4, which are appropriate for children, adolescents, and adults who have ASD and fluent speech. Day two focuses on Modules 1-2, which are used with children who have ASD and are nonverbal up to those who speak in phrases. Workshop participants will observe the administration and begin learning to make the behavioral codes. An overview of the toddler module will be provided. The training will also include information on ADOS psychometrics and writing up the ADOS in reports.
