Comprehensive Needs Assessment & Campus Improvement Plan Training




Not only is the Comprehensive Needs Assessment (CNA) a requirements under Title I-A, but it is also the foundation to building your District/Campus Improvement Plans and ensuring efficient use of funds to improve student achievement. In this session, ESC personnel will provide districts with information on how to complete and document the CNA process. Further, districts will receive tools and resources to help them perform a compliant and effective CNA.

Comprehensive Needs Assessment Training

The CNA training we will be addressing requirements and the following areas: demographics; student achievement; school culture and climate; staff quality, recruitment and retention; curriculum, instruction and assessment; family and community involvement; school organization; and technology.

Campus Improvement Plan Training

District and Campus Improvement Plans, required under Title I-A, act as blueprints for implementing strategies and activities in order to address district/campus weaknesses. Beyond being a compliance requirement, good district and campus improvement plans also provide direction on how to allocate federal funds. In this session, ESC staff will provide attendees with Title I-A requirements for the D/CIP, tools and checklists, and best practices for completing both plans.
