Sheltered Instruction




This training session addresses the characteristics of sheltered instruction, research in second language acquisition, needs of English Language Learners (ELLs), and appropriate strategies for student's language proficiency level. Activities will be provided to address the core content areas: ELA, Math, Science, and Social Studies.

Important Session Information:


Most sessions are free to Tailor-Made package participants, with the possible exception of the cost of materials and required fees.  If not in a Tailor-Made package, half-day fees are $75 per participant and full-day fees are $150 plus the cost of materials.

Fee waived to members of Bilingual/ESL Services and Title III SSA
