Meeting the Needs of Newcomer Emergent Bilinguals




This workshop will provide second language acquisition strategies and techniques for content-area teachers of newcomer Emergent Bilinguals (EB). Participants will also receive resources for interpreting foreign transcripts from the most common countries represented in Texas, along with some guidance for dissecting transcripts from less common countries.

Important Session Information:


Most sessions are free to Tailor-Made package participants, with the possible exception of the cost of materials and required fees.  If not in a Tailor-Made package, half-day fees are $75 per participant and full-day fees are $150 plus the cost of materials.
