Bilingual/ESL Leadership Academy




In this Academy Instructional leaders will be provided with different strategies and activities that ensure academic, linguistic, and affective success of all EB students. Leaders will explore and analyze a series of topics to empower their understanding and decision-making to close the achievement gap and equity for this growing population. The topics will include: Second Language Acquisition, TELPAS-ELPS connection, Program Implementation, Best Practices for EBs, Sheltered Instruction, State/Federal accountability, Parent Engagement.

THIS IS A TWO-DAY SESSION. COST IS $150 PER DAY FOR NON-TAILOR-MADE DISTRICTS.

ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST ATTEND BOTH SESSIONS IN ORDER TO RECEIVE CREDIT.

Most sessions are free to Tailor-Made package participants, with the possible exception of the cost of materials and required fees.  If not in a Tailor-Made package, half-day fees are $75 per participant and full-day fees are $150 plus the cost of materials.
