School Safety & Mental Health Summit 2022
Share
This unique event offers critical insight and resources for reducing and preventing youth violence. Keynote speaker, Molly Hudgens, is a school counselor, author, and Congressional Medal of Honor (Citizens Honor) recipient for heroism. Join us as she shares her story of talking a student with a loaded handgun out of committing a mass shooting and how to recognize the red flags. All attendees will receive a free copy of her book, "Saving Sycamore: The School Shooting That Never Happened." Other sessions include Civilian Response To Active Shooter Events (CRASE) training and screening of the award winning film, "Angst," which uses the power of film to normalize healthy conversation about mental health and encourage building supportive communities. Lunch will be provided.
