Building Procedural Fluency from Conceptual Understanding in Mathematics (Grades 6-12)




Do your students seem to understand a math concept one day, but then forget or mix-up topics over time? Effective teaching of mathematics builds fluency with procedures on a foundation of conceptual understanding so that students become skillful in using procedures flexibly. Explore strategies for helping students develop fluency and deep mathematical understanding.

Important Session Information:


Most sessions are free to Tailor-Made package participants, with the possible exception of the cost of materials and required fees.  If not in a Tailor-Made package, half-day fees are $75 per participant and full-day fees are $150 plus the cost of materials.
