GT 30-Hour Training Day 5: Adding Depth & Complexity and TPSP




In this session, participants will look at Depth and Complexity through the lens of the eight elements of depth: Language of the Discipline, Details, Patterns, Trends, Rules, Ethics, Unanswered Question, and Big Ideas and the three elements of complexity: Across Disciplines, Multiple Perspectives, and Over Time. Participants will also explore resources within the Texas Performance Standards Project (TPSP). Participants will share their own experiences and research related information. This workshop is aligned to the Texas State Board for Educator Certification (SBEC) teaching standards for Gifted Education and the combined standards set forth by the Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) and the National Association for Gifted Children (NAGC). This workshop meets the Texas State Plan requirements for 30-Hour Initial Training.

Important Session Information:


Fee waived Tailor-Made package participants, with the possible exception of the cost of materials and required fees. If not in a Tailor-Made package, half-day fees are $125 per participant and full-day fees are $225 plus the cost of materials.
