PURPOSE OF OUTCOMES AND OBJECTIVES
Writing and reporting on outcomes and objectives are both foundational Title IV, Part A program requirements. Moreover, writing high-quality outcomes and objectives help LEAs determine whether program activities have the intended and expected impact.
Measuring outcomes and objectives provides evidence of effectiveness, bolstering the LEAs' confidence that the activities or interventions are of high quality. Continuously measuring progress allows for timely adjustments to improve interventions or activities. As LEAs measure progress, they may also choose to report to stakeholders- which is a good practice to ensure awareness of program successes among those directly and indirectly affected by these activities.
