Overview of MTSS

In this workshop, participants will gain knowledge of the Multi-Tiered System of Supports as referenced in numerous TEA initiatives. Participants will be able to describe the components of MTSS and the three tiers of intervention for academics, behavior and mental health. Participants will also be able to define the type of assessments utilized within MTSS, identify what is already in place in their district and how it fits into the MTSS framework. The benefits of MTSS implementation, including combining teams and using existing data analysis for multiple purposes will be presented. Considerations for implementation will also be covered and participants will have an opportunity to review additional MTSS supports available including on-site training for your team, monitoring for fidelity of implementation and coaching for individual team members.
