Launch_K5 Computer Science - Day 1




Join us for a transformative 3-day interactive workshop (Required: 2 days in person, 1 asynchronous) designed to empower educators with the essential skills to infuse computer science into their teaching practices. This immersive experience will focus on aligning teaching strategies with the latest Technology Applications TEKS, ensuring your curriculum remains current and meets educational standards. Throughout the workshop, you'll delve into a diverse array of K-5 lessons crafted to encompass both unplugged and plugged activities. These lessons are designed for immediate implementation in your classroom, providing you with a comprehensive toolkit to engage your students. Participants who complete the 3 days of training will receive: Grades K-2 will receive a set of Vex 123 robots and Grades 3-5 will receive a set of Micro:bits. Teachers will customize their experience by registering for either the K-2 or 3-5 focused second session, ensuring that they receive targeted guidance tailored to their specific grade level.
