School Safety and Safety Plans for Students with Special Needs
Share
Protecting our special needs students in time of crisis is not always as quick and simple as students in the general education setting. Students with physical and mental disabilities can require additional steps when there is a need for a lockdown, lockout, shelter in place, or evualation. Making sure that each student is cared for in the safest and most appropriate manner is key. Participants will develop a better understanding of individualized safety plans and strategies as well as create a 'bug out' bag.
