Building Bridges through High Quality Literacy Conference
Our upcoming literacy conference centers on the importance of high-quality curriculum and instructional materials that provide content-rich, culturally and linguistically relevant, and offer transformative learning and academic equity. Conference participants will receive information and guidance on building system capacity through comprehensive literacy instruction for all students, focusing on strengthening a student’s ability to navigate, understand, and write about complex print and digital subject matter that reflects critical content from such disciplines as the arts, humanities, sciences, social sciences, English, and math in preparation for college, the 21st century workforce, and global citizenship. Our goal is for participants to leave being able to apply new understandings toward the needs of underserved students.
