In this workshop, participants will identify gaps students may have in mathematics due to the COVID-19 distance learning. This session is designed to build and/or enhance participants’ knowledge of mathematics concepts and processes taught at the previous grade level. Knowledge of these foundational skills will assist in closing student gaps that may have been created as a result of COVID-19. Teachers will engage in creating pre-assessments they will use to gather information regarding these critical questions: Where do we start with this year’s students? What gaps do my students have? What instructional adjustments need to be made to maximize student learning?
