  1. Child and Adult Food Care Program Training (CACFP)
    Texas Department of Agriculture-Food & Nutrition is sponsoring Contracting Entity training through the Regional 2 Education Service Center in Feeding Infants in Their First Years, Menu Planning for Child Care, Planning Nutritious Snacks for Child Care, Kitchen Math, Food Buying Guide (Child and Adult), Food Production Records (Child and Adult), Record Keeping (Sponsor and Sites), Healthy Recognition Award, Enrollment and Eligibility, Intro to CACFP, and Civil Rights Training.

  2. School Nutrition Program Professional Development Series
    This event will provide School Nutrition Program Professionals training hours that count towards the professional standards requirements for school nutrition programs.

  3. School Nutrition Director's Meeting / Working Topics
    Meetings will cover the latest information received from the Texas Department of Agriculture-Food & Nutrition Division. Working Topics will cover requested topic's by directors.

  4. School Nutrition Programs Administrators Day Workshop
    The School Nutrition Programs Administrators Day workshop will expose SNP Directors, Supervisors and Campus Managers to new child nutrition program information. 

  5. School Nutrition Summer Conference 2022

    The Education Service Center, Region 2 is pleased to announce the 2022 Summer Conference for School Nutrition Programs to be held at the ESC 2 on July 20th and 21st, 2022. This year’s conference will feature robust opportunities for participants to gain experience in a variety of areas that provide professional development credit hours to help school nutrition employees meet the training hours needed as outlined in the Professional Standards for School Nutrition Program regulations. 


    Due to varying times required for some classes, it will be important for participants to assure they are registered for the following: 

    • The main “2022 School Nutrition Summer Conference” 

    • Day One, July 20th: Please check available courses and course descriptions to determine if course of interest is full day, partial day or a two day course. 

    • Day Two, July 21st: Please check available courses and course descriptions to determine if the course of interest is full day, partial day or a two day course. 



    Important Notices: 

    • Conference registration will open March 21, 2022 

    • Registration closes on July 18, 2022 

    • No registration fee 

    • Theme is Christmas in July and Christmas attire is welcomed 

    • Each participant is required to register for all sessions necessary before registration is considered complete and successful.

  6. CPR/AED/First Aid Training

    CPR/AED/First Aid training is an instructor-led course that teaches students critical skills needed to respond to and manage an emergency until emergency medical services arrives. Skills covered in this course include first aid; choking relief in adults, children, and infants; and what to do for sudden cardiac arrest in adults, children, and infants.

    This course teaches skills with the AHA’s research-proven practice-while-watching technique, which allows instructors to observe the students, provide feedback, and guide the students’ learning of skills.

    This course is for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in CPR and AED use to meet job, regulatory, or other requirements.

    Upon completion of this course, students receive an American Heart Association First Aid/CPR/AED course completion card that is valid for 2 years.
