3D printing in the classroom opens up a world of possibilities for you and your students that never existed before. With applications in science, math, history, art and more, 3D printing has the power to engage students at levels not always possible in the past. Join us in this workshop and learn the basics of 3D design and 3D printing then take a 3D printer back to school, set it up in your classroom and start on an amazing journey of exploration and creation with your students.
In this workshop we will be using Sketchup Pro, a professional level program that is available to public schools for free. It is a full featured program suitable for secondary students and anyone else interested in learning how to design and print more complex 3D objects. (If you are interested in a more basic program that is easier to use but more limited in its functionality, please register for 3D Design and Printing for Elementary Classrooms.)
Note: The workshop fee includes a 3D printer and one spool of filament. (a $330.00 value)
