ECDS - Early Childhood Data System
Submitting Early Childhood Readiness Data to the State - PK

The Early Childhood Data System (ECDS) formerly known as the Kindergarten Readiness System (KRS) is a new state reporting feature in the Texas Student Data System (TSDS). The ECDS will be used to collect early childhood data to inform school districts, communities, and early childhood programs about the effectiveness of pre-kindergarten programs in preparing children for success in kindergarten under Texas Education Code (TEC) §29.161.

Important Workshop Information:

The Early Childhood Data System (ECDS) is the collection of both prekindergarten and kindergarten student data, which includes student demographic, classroom link information, and assessment data.  ECDS is a mandatory collection for all public-school districts and open-enrollment charter schools.  The prekindergarten ECDS collection is due Summer 2019; so this refresher training will provide the required steps to completing the prekindergarten submission successfully.
