Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) Series for Cohort D and Later
Session #2 - Spending and Funding

House Bill 3 (HB 3), passed by the 86th Texas Legislature in June of 2019, established a Teacher Incentive Allotment with a stated goal of a six-figure salary for teachers who prioritize teaching in high needs areas and rural district campuses.

Districts have the option to locally develop or identify a system for designating high-performing teachers as Recognized, Exemplary, or Master. Districts that employ teachers with designations can receive up to $32,000 per year in TIA funding per designated teacher.

ESC-2 will be providing a 10-part series to support your LEA as they develop their locally designed designation system during the 2020-2021 school year.

Important Workshop Information:

Leadership teams will examine the spending options available using TIA funds and discuss what best options for their campuses.  Additional information will be provided on the timeline of funds from TEA and the payout options to teachers.

Please note that registration is per person.
