Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) Series for Cohort D and Later
Session #3 - Evaluating your District Landscape

House Bill 3 (HB 3), passed by the 86th Texas Legislature in June of 2019, established a Teacher Incentive Allotment with a stated goal of a six-figure salary for teachers who prioritize teaching in high needs areas and rural district campuses.

Districts have the option to locally develop or identify a system for designating high-performing teachers as Recognized, Exemplary, or Master. Districts that employ teachers with designations can receive up to $32,000 per year in TIA funding per designated teacher.

ESC-2 will be providing a 10-part series to support your LEA as they develop their locally designed designation system during the 2020-2021 school year.

Important Workshop Information:

TIA leadership teams will use the TIA Readiness Checklist to assess key practices and areas of strength currently in place within the LEA to determine their level of readiness for developing a local implementation plan.  Teams will also identify opportunities for growth to ensure a successful application and implementation of the TIA program.

TIA teams will have an opportunity to share best practices across LEAs to learn from one another.

Please note that this is a per person fee based workshop.
