Create a Class Culture of Makers, Inventors, and Creators with Makerspaces (Self-Paced Online Course)

Kickstart your makerspace with an understanding of what a makerspace is all about, suggestions to fill your makerspace, storage ideas, funding opportunities, resources to explore, and most importantly, developing the maker mindset.

Note: This is an online self-paced course.  While it may have a different end date, once registered, you will receive an email with a link to the google classroom to begin your coursework.  Once all assignments are submitted, you will receive credit.

Important Workshop Information:

This session will be a three hour introduction to how to create a Makerspace on your campus.  We will look into the different options to create your makerspace, ways to connect makerspaces to the classroom, resources and materials to fill your makerspace, and we will also go into the funding for sustainability for your makerspace.

This will be an asynchronous training.

Once registration and payment is complete, participants will be sent an email with directions on how to complete the course via google classroom.

It is encouraged to finish the course within three weeks to ensure internalization of the material, but you will have access this course for the fiscal year, then it will be archived.
