About the author's:

Sean Cain spent the formative years of his career working in difficult instructional settings. Recognized for the success of his students and the systems he designed and implemented, he quickly progressed through the instructional leadership ranks. This culminated in his last public education position as State Director of Innovative School Redesign (Texas). Currently, Cain serves as the Chief Idea Officer for Lead Your School (LYS), a confederation of successful school leaders dedicated to improving student, campus, and district performance. A passionate speaker, Cain is a sought-after national presenter and trains educators in school districts across the country. 

Mike Laird is a retired assistant superintendent, adjunct professor, and U.S. Army Reserve Major. The co-author of the several popular books on instruction and school operations, his work continues on campuses across the country supporting teachers and mentoring school leaders. A respected national presenter, Laird combines his school and military leadership experience to prepare today’s educator to succeed in the modern high stakes school accountability environment.
