Being a Counseling Chameleon: Integrative Strategies and Interventions for Brief Counseling
Part of the Counselors Symposium Contracted Services Series

Counselors often seek effective and easy-to-use methods for helping students and families achieve useful changes in brief counseling situations.  Via discussion, demonstration, and practice, this workshop is designed to help attendees (a) increase their knowledge and application of selected techniques from various approaches to counseling (e.g., Adlerian, cognitive-behavioral, constructivist, etc.)  approaches, and (b) understand where and how these procedures may be most appropriately used in the counseling process.  The techniques presented may be used by school counselors regardless of their guiding theoretical orientation.
