Join us for 3 days of planned, purposeful, and playful learning in the early literacy classroom.
DAY 1: The Writing Academy. Literacy Foundations- Within this seminar, we will engage in brain-based, tactile-kinesthetic activities that teach students organization, progression, and development of ideas, including voice. We will dive into strategies that are grade level appropriate regarding transitions, vice, introductions and conclusions.
DAY 2: Really Great Reading - This day will be full of engaging strategies to establish a literacy foundation that will direct students to a be strong and fluent readers. Strategies will include phoneme play, letter-sound relationships, encoding, decoding, onset rime, rhyming, and sight word fluency.
