Speech Language Pathologist's Guide to Vocabulary Intervention

This workshop defines and describes evidence-based strategies to effectively teach target vocabulary words and morphological awareness. Participants will explore grade-level examples for teaching prefixes, base words/root words, and suffixes. The presenter will also discuss 15 power words to teach prefixes and roots, which combined many of the most commonly used prefixes and roots that are part of over 15,000 words.
