This seminar can serve as a training for parent/in-home trainers, but directors and coordinators that hire and oversee trainers and programs are welcome to attend.
Participants will learn strategies to help assist ARD committees in assessment and determination of training needs, explore various methodologies to support training decisions, consider ethical situations, and acquire communication do’s and don’ts while working with families.
Administrators will acquire best practices to help facilitate ARD committees when considering training or viable alternatives for students as well as learn how to build capacity within their district by utilizing existing staff for training.
The latter part of the day will be a fun make-and-take in which the presenter will guide participants in the making of essential home/community materials for training use.
