*Differentiation Essentials for Advanced Students Using Content Imperatives

Teachers who provide instruction and services that are a part of the district’s defined gifted/talented services receive a minimum of six (6) hours annually of professional development in gifted/talented education that is related to state teacher education standards (19 TAC §89.2(3) and TAC §233.1
Important Session Information:

Differentiation Essentials for Advanced Students

Join us as we will:

  • Examine the six essentials of differentiation that are often cited as best practices in the field of gifted. 
  • Discuss the implementation of these essentials with content examples.
  • Will discuss the use of Content Imperatives

Strategies that will help facilitate the following essentials, Pre-Assessment, Flexible Grouping, Compacting, Higher-Level Thinking, Depth and Complexity and Research, will be provided.

Each participant will receive a Differentiation Guide to accompany the learning for the day and implementation in the classroom.
