This two day session titled: “Introduction to Community Interpreting” focuses on the essential foundations of interpreting, but also delivers specific application to the role of the interpreter within the public school, special education context. This interactive virtual training is designed for bilingual individuals working in dual roles in school settings – as interpreters and in a “primary” employment role – but is highly applicable to any school staff/faculty member involved in special education/ARD meetings or who interacts with limited English proficient populations.
MUST ATTEND BOTH DAYS.
NOTE: This session will be held virtually. Please ensure you have camera and microphone capability for this interactive session as there will small group activities. The Zoom link will be emailed a few days prior to this session.
