Paraprofessionals will learn about concepts such as antecedents, triggers, functions of behavior, de-escalation techniques, unintended rewards for misbehavior, and how to teach and practice replacement behaviors. Most paraprofessionals are not provided this information prior to working in schools. By offering this training to your paraprofessionals, they will feel more comfortable handling challenging behavior and have the tools necessary to support the teacher with classroom management.
