Mental Health/Safety - PD
Self-Regulation: Understanding Brain Dynamics and How to Build Skills in Regulation
Share
Workshop specifically for Mental Health/Safety.
Important Session Information:
This workshop will take us into the brain neuroscience around self-regulation and dysregulation. Knowing how the brain plays a role in an individual's development of emotional regulation will help us as we develop research-based supports and skills to build and nurture in that individual. By using knowledge of brain dynamics, we can help students establish new, more effective and prosocial neural pathways which lead to improved behavior. We will also look at commercially available curricula and programs designed to improve students' self-regulation skills across all developmental levels.
