American Red Cross Basic Life Support
Important Session Information:
American Red Cross Basic Life Support is a blended learning course divided into two sessions: an online session (at home/work) and then a subsequent skills session (in-person). Participants are required to complete all elements of the online session prior to the skills session. The in-person skills session will focus on practicing and demonstrating all required skills for Basic Life Support certification.
Participants will use the Red Cross Learning Center-Student Portal to:
- Access and launch online courses
- Access relevant digital course materials
- View their certifications
Course Completion Requirements:
- Successfully complete the online session
- Attend and participate in class sessions
- Participate in all skills practices
- Demonstrate competency in all required skills
- Successfully complete in all assessment scenarios
Upon successful course completion, participants will receive a certificate from the American Red Cross that is valid for two years and will have the knowledge and skills to respond and manage an emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services (EMS) arrive.
Mobile App:
A Red Cross First Aid Mobile App is available to all participants to use and share with family and friends. The App will guide people in providing a step-by step care in an emergency and in-depth information on various injuries and illnesses.
Please park in the back parking lot and enter through the back doors. Someone will direct you to Room 119 for the training.
