Information:
This workshop will take us into the brain neuroscience around self-regulation and dysregulation. Knowing how the brain plays a role in an individual's development of emotional regulation will help us as we develop research-based supports and skills to build and nurture in that individual. By using knowledge of brain dynamics, we can help students establish new, more effective and pro-social neural pathways which lead to improved behavior. We will also look at commercially available curricula and programs designed to improve students' self-regulation skills across all developmental levels.
