This training was created by the Child Find, Evaluation, and ARD Support Statewide Technical Assistance Network in collaboration with the Texas Education Agency.
The purpose of this session is a trainer of trainers (or presenters) for the Standards-Based IEP Process- Supplemental Training Training for Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to be offered at each ESC. The SB IEP Process Supplemental Training for SLPs is intended for SLPs responsible for drafting a student's IEP, including present levels of academic achievement and functional performance and measurable annual goals.
This trainer of trainers (TOT) session will provide the structure and guidance for offering the training at the ESC. This TOT is a LIVE, virtual session intended for providing guidance and tips, as well as activities to strengthen understanding. ESC representatives who attend this TOT session are members of the Child Find, Evaluation, and ARD Support Statewide Technical Assistance Network. These ESC representatives should also be SLPs when possible. If an ESC does not employ a network representative who is an SLP, then another ESC representative who is a member of the network should attend.
