Exploring the K-12 Science Framework (Canvas)





In this self-paced Canvas course, explore the three dimensions of science education outlined in A Framework for K-12 Science Education (National Research Council): scientific and engineering practices, crosscutting concepts, and disciplinary core ideas. Consider the instructional implications of scientific and engineering practices and Texas STEM Framework. Examine how crosscutting concepts and core ideas are embedded in the science TEKS and inform science instruction.

Due to grant funding requirements, this course is only open to educators in Region 4 districts and charters. Particpants have 30 days to complete this self-paced, asynchronous Canvas course for 6 CPE credits.
