This strategy-packed workshop will offer participants anchor charts, demonstrations, teaching tools and targeted activities to support learners with disabilities in the ELA classroom. The first portion of the workshop will focus on strategies to support students as readers. Participants will learn research-based multimodal strategies to support decoding, fluency, and comprehension of both literary and informational text. The second portion of the workshop will focus on writing strategies that support organization, elaboration, and mechanics. Participants will leave a wealth of options and ideas to tailor effective instruction to a wide range of learners.
