This TEA required training is for campuses and charter schools identified as IR (Improvement Required) through the state accountability system. Intervention requirements will be discussed which include the TAIS (Texas Accountability & Intervention System) continuous improvement process of data analysis, needs assessment, improvement planning, and implementing/monitoring the required plan for improvement. In-depth assistance will also be provided in understanding the accountability system index components, system safeguards, and all required documentation/reporting submissions.
Note: Optional technical assistance time is built into the final 2 hours of this training day.
This training will be provided by ESC staff - Department of Accountability & Leadership Solutions.
All District Coordinators of School Improvement (DCSI) and Principals of 1st year IR campuses are required to attend. A maximum training team of 3 per campus is allowed. Professional Service Providers (PSPs) may attend as part of the maximum campus team of 3 (this is an optional district/campus decision and is not required).
