Join education professionals for this exciting annual conference as we explore evidenced-based practices for creating effective learning environments for all learners. The Inclusive Practices Conference (IPC) provides expertise and networking supports to help students access academic content and achieve rigorous state assessment standards, as well as providing expertise and networking supports in areas such as navigating federal and state accountability systems, creating 21st century digital learning environments, increasing student engagement, supporting post-secondary transition, and implementing effective inclusive practices. Participants will leave the Inclusive Practices Conference (IPC) with practical strategies to promote access to and progress in the general curriculum.

June 16, 2020 LeDerick Horne will present, "A Path to Pride and Success Beyond Classification." LeDerick Horne was diagnosed with a learning disability in the third grade and he is now a poet, disability rights activist, motivational speaker, and education consultant. His work focuses on improving the outcomes of students with disabilities. He is also the coauthor of "Empowering Students with Hidden Disabilities: A Path to Pride and Success." June 17, 2020 Patrick Schwarz, Ph.D. will present, "Reimagining Education for All: Making Learning Work for Everyone." Considering all the research and publications about best practices for inclusion, Patrick identifies teaching, leadership and other strategies that need to go and those that need to stay. The areas he will discuss will be belonging, making learning work for everyone, leadership provided by teachers and their teams, learner-centered supports, teachers as innovators, classroom, unit and lesson supports, collaboration and transition. Attendees will receive a copy of a book by each presenter. Lunch will be provided. Regular registration is $70. The early bird rate of $35 is good until May 1, 2020.
