Why Do My High School Students Struggle with Discussion?





Many high-school teachers report that students are reluctant to have academic discussions, especially when dialogue centers around complex ideas and challenging text. In this hands-on workshop, participants will learn specific strategies to encourage  the skills needed for independence, critical thinking, and cooperative dialogue.
