Important Session Information:

Poverty is an increasing problem and equity in the classroom is a powerful solution. This special event gives you an overview of a high-energy, classroom tested, research-based model to erase the academic effects of poverty. The first step to changing mindsets with students of poverty is learning the science of how the brain changes (for the worse and for the better). Evidence is presented that all student brains can change. You’ll see high performing teachers and schools. You will learn how to break the pattern of failure and help turn struggling students into high achieving, motivated learners. Next, you’ll learn a clear model of how to increase student achievement among the poor. Finally, you’ll learn clear action steps you can use to intervene in positive, practical, research-based ways to improve student achievement.
