Help I See Struggling Readers: They Are Everywhere!

Explore proven and innovative strategies to support students who are struggling readers. Participants will examine the needs of struggling readers who are currently not on grade level. Learn techniques for building motivation, increasing stamina, and exploring research-based techniques to help students gain access to the TEKS and STAAR. Instructional strategies in reading comprehension, vocabulary, fluency, and word identification will be shared. Participants also will examine methods for integrating low technology supports and adapting instruction within the secondary classroom.
