Overview in Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS)

Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports is a framework approach to assist schools in adopting and organizing evidence based behavior interventions in a multi-tiered continuum, otherwise known as the RtI triangle, which is meant to enhance academic and behavior outcomes for all students. This session is meant to give participants an overview of what PBIS is and what it looks like integrated into schools, and will focus heavily on school-wide supports for all students. Learn the components to school-wide PBIS, how to assess the fidelity of your implementation, and how to improve the school climate and culture of the campus. Participants will receive resources to help them understand where to start with PBIS in their campuses and districts to improve outcomes for their students.
