Supporting the English Learner through the Collaboration of the LPAC and ARD Committee





When a student with a disability is also identified as an English Language Learner (ELL), the Admission Review Dismissal (ARD) Committee must collaborate with the Language Proficiency Assessment Committee (LPAC) to determine appropriate entry, program placement, and services which includes decisions about linguistic accommodations and the exiting process. Participants will also explore how to best meet the affective, linguistic, and cognitive needs of the student.
