Webinars for Special Education Evaluation Personnel
Writing Appropriate PLAAFP Statements



Participate in this webinar session to learn about specialized topics of special education evaluation. Session and materials costs are partially funded through state or federal grants. These convenient webinars can be accessed from your home or work computer at the times specified. The webinars will not be available for viewing at the Region 4 location, nor will they be available for viewing at a later date.

You must register for each webinar session through your ESC. No sign-in sheets with additional attendees will be accepted.

Directions for joining the webinar and applicable handouts will be sent via email prior to the scheduled showing. Please ensure that your account email address in your ESC system is accurate. If you do not receive this email the day prior to the date of the webinar, please contact your evaluation specialist.

You will receive 2 hours of PD attendance credit. Credit will be given by your ESC once attendance is verified. This could take up to one week.

 



Important Session Information:



The PLAAFP statement establishes the starting points in developing annual goals and serve as baseline data points. Because of this, it is important to make sure it includes all the necessary information in a way that ensures all stakeholders can understand the student's unique and current academic and functional levels. During the session, participants will review what must be included in the PLAAFP and how to use information from a Full and Individual Evaluation (FIE) to write data-based objective statements.
