Meeting the Needs of ELLs in the Social Studies Classroom





Experience ways to embed strategies into a lesson cycle to help students gain access to the social studies curriculum. Participants will explore the proficiency level of ELLs on various levels, receive strategies to help students increase their level of proficiency, and engage in supportive vocabulary tools to encourage students' academic language. Participants will receive the Region 4 publication Embedding the ELPS with E's in Social Studies.
