Instructional Coaching: Supporting Targeted and Intentional Teaching Using DOK

Depth of Knowledge is a way of thinking about the content's complexity in a way that helps teachers to determine how deeply students must know and understand what they are learning. The DOK process reveals how extensively students are expected to transfer that learning. In this session, we will explore how to support teachers in ensuring their instruction is aligned to the TEKS, rigorous, and effective. Examine ways to use the DOK process in your PLCs to optimize teacher and student growth.
