Join fellow counselors and CTE administrators in participating in a quarterly, three hour, face to face session, designed to support counselors and CTE administrators by providing resources for opportunities to enhance student engagement within career clusters. This network will provide a forum for collaborating, and continuous on-going guidance around Priority 3 of the Texas Education Agency’s (TEA) Strategic Plan, Connecting High School to Career and College. Improving students’ readiness for postsecondary opportunities and insuring students are equipped with the skills necessary to meet the requirements in a 21st century global society are at the heart of Region 4 Education Service Center’s Connecting High School to Career and College Learning Network.
The network will focus on one career cluster each session in order to support campus efforts in integrating college and career readiness. Participants will hear from business and industry leaders, examine trends and issues, and network with other professionals. Attendees will have the opportunity to take information back to their district/charter to share for implementation.
Lunch is included in this session and training resources will be provided to all attendees. Registration is open to campus and district leadership, counselors and CTE administrators. School campus lead teachers are also welcome to attend.
