English Learners in the Classroom: The First 20 Days



Explore practical methods to create a culturally responsive classroom that supports language acquisition for English Learners (ELs), particularly in the first 20 days of instruction. The session will explore stages of language development in conjunction with creating a culture of learning. Ideas for how to formatively assess ELs and how to use the information to monitor progress will be shared.
