Yoga for Students with Visual and Multiple Impairments

Learn how to teach yoga to students with visual and multiple impairments. Yoga sessions can support all nine areas of the expanded core curriculum. Yoga is a fun and motivational way for children with disabilities to practice the motor, sensory integration, and body awareness skills they need in order to lead their most independent lives. Yoga sequences will be practiced throughout the day. Join in the activities by wearing clothing that allows for movement. Accommodations will be available for floor exercises. Walk away knowing how to implement these strategies for your students. Session and materials costs are partially funded through state and federal grants.
