Supporting Independent Practice in Reader's Workshop





Supporting student’s transfer of reading skills and strategies is the goal of the balanced literacy framework. The implementation of centers, independent reading, and literature circles supports this transfer. This training will cover these three types of independence practices to help students develop the habits to read strategically and to work independently.
